April 22 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us and the experts at Trade Pathways for an information session describing the program and addressing any questions you may have.

Trade Pathways has financial assistance and recruitment support available for Alberta construction companies to help in developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

Trade Pathways is an initiative of your local construction association, delivered in partnership with the Alberta Construction Association, and funded by the Government of Alberta.

The initial pilot began March 15, 2022, in the Edmonton region supporting the carpenter, glazier, and commercial roofer trades. The program has been a success in Edmonton, with over 50% of placements resulting in full-time employment. We have since received additional funding to expand to the rest of Alberta with approval to support additional trades based on employer demand.

Along with financial and recruitment assistance for participating employers, the program provides support directly to enrolled employees, including tools, workwear, training and other support. This help is vital to unemployed and underemployed Albertans get on the path towards a successful career in construction.

Employer participation is available to COR-certified Alberta construction companies through their local construction association membership. And employers make the final decision to select program participants, which are drawn from community partners and employer referrals.

Participating employers benefit from:

●          50% wage subsidy for 90 days
●          Training expense reimbursements
●          WCB claims for program participants assigned to the Government of Alberta
●          Recruitment assistance
